Here at Grandma’s Garden Academy, we believe that learning should feel like an adventure, not a test! That’s why we’re so excited to share our unique, play-based approach to kindergarten readiness: The Forest Passport System! 🗺️

Instead of making children sit at desks with flashcards, we track their developmental milestones naturally while they play in our Greenhouse, bake in our Mud Kitchen, and explore our Forest.

Every child gets their own physical passport, and as they master key milestones aligned with the Washington State WaKIDS standards, they earn a stamp in their book!

Our Story

Welcome to our adventure! We are excited to offer a fresh and engaging option for our local community, catering to parents, children, and staff alike. Currently, we provide preschool services limited extended care, and we're thrilled to announce plans for expansion next year to include full-time care alongside our existing preschool groups. With 13 acres of privately owned land licensed through DCYF we are dedicated to creating a safe and enriching environment that promotes child-focused activities and excellence.
